Each academic year,\u00a0Aspire-Canada<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0offers scholarships of $1000 or more to outstanding students that\u00a0demonstrate leadership potential. <\/span><\/p>\n

All incoming and returning students will also be considered for the scholarship based on a completed\u00a0scholarship application. International students are also eligible to apply. The preferred deadline for\u00a0students to apply is\u00a0July 31st 2017<\/strong><\/span> (However we will accept applications up to August 31st, 2017). Applications received after the preferred deadline will be considered if the funds are available. In order to assist\u00a0you with your scholarship application, please follow the checklist below.<\/p>\n

Complete the Scholarship Application.
\nLog on to aspire-canada.com and create a professional profile.
\nWe encourage all applicants to share<\/span><\/strong> and comment on articles on the website. Site participation is a big factor in scholarship awards.
\nPlease fill out a professional profile on\u00a0community.aspire-canada.com<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0(This is mandatory<\/strong> <\/span>for all scholarship applicants \u2013 please upload a picture).<\/p>\n

Students need to submit a scholarship essay (not less than 800 words) in order to be eligible.<\/p>\n

The essay should be on one of the following topics:<\/p>\n

Careers<\/p>\n

Entrepreneurship<\/p>\n

Health & Fitness<\/p>\n

Fashion & Beauty<\/p>\n

The essay should be 800 words or more (not less). The deadline to submit the essay is by\u00a0July 31st 2017. The best essays will be featured on the Aspire-Canada website.<\/p>\n

Other Important Tips:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Remember site participation is a factor!\u00a0Log in<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0with your profile and post useful comments on\u00a0articles<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0written on Aspire-Canada and share them on social media (e.g. facebook, twitter, pinterest). Go on the\u00a0Aspire-Canada Facebook page\u00a0<\/span><\/u><\/a>and Like the page! Post comments and share the page and articles with your friends, ask them to like the facebook page too.\u00a0Become an Ambassador<\/span><\/u><\/a>! Launch a group in the Aspire-Community and invite your friends! Go to the\u00a0Problem-Solver<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0section of the site and post a problem for others to help you solve! Or\u00a0Become an Aspire-Writer<\/span><\/u>.<\/span><\/u><\/a> Ask a Mentor<\/span><\/u><\/a> about career or business issues. There are many different ways to get involved.<\/p>\n

Please Ensure you have a \u201cFully Completed Professional Profile\u201d on the Aspire-Community.
\nA complete profile is an essential part of the scholarship application. Here is the Aspire-Canada definition of a 100% Complete Profile:<\/p>\n

\u2014 Your school\/work\/industry and location<\/p>\n

\u2014 Up-to-date information (academic year\/major\/current employer (if applicable)<\/p>\n

\u2014 Two past positions<\/p>\n

\u2014 Your skills (minimum of 3). Any academic awards, extra-curricular activities\u00a0and volunteer activities.<\/p>\n

\u2014 A profile photo<\/p>\n

\u2014 At least 10 connections. Invite your friends\/colleagues\/family members to also create a professional profile on the Aspire-Community. Its easy \u2013 Just email them the link.<\/p>\n
