Double your cooking<\/h3>\n<p>You will save time by cooking for an army.\u00a0 For example, I always cook extra chicken and then freeze the rest in individual portions. When I need to put together lunch, I\u2019ve got chicken already cooked that I can use for sandwiches or add to salad and it\u2019s really easy.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Plan ahead of time<\/h3>\n<p>In order to avoid the hectic schedule of the morning, it\u2019s a good idea to establish a game plan before waking up.\u00a0 You can make your lunches on the weekend, when you have a bit more time, or the night before while you\u2019re cooking dinner.\u00a0 This little bit of planning means you wouldn\u2019t be short on time and ideas standing in front of the fridge.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Have a good base<\/h3>\n<p>For those days when planning ahead isn\u2019t an option, it\u2019s possible to make it work by keeping healthy groceries as your base in your fridge and pantry.\u00a0 For example, tomatoes are always a base item on my grocery list. They are so versatile, as well as being delicious. I take them with me as a snack, slice them into my sandwiches, incorporate them into my pasta dishes and always add them to my pizza.\u00a0\u00a0 I also keep frozen peas in my freezer.\u00a0 They\u2019re easy to add to your favourite recipes and take no time at all!<\/p>\n<h3>4. Think about individual portions<\/h3>\n<p>When snacks, side dishes and desserts are individually pre portions, it\u2019s easy to add them to your lunch box. \u00a0Baby carrots, fruit sauce and dried fruits are examples that grab well.\u00a0 For money saving tip, take a moment over the weekend to cut up some cheese, portion out yougurt and put your fruits and veggies into small containers to make them ready to grab and go.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Use your freezer<\/h3>\n<p>Don\u2019t feel like eating the same leftovers as last night?
