How To Start Believing In Yourself<\/span><\/h2>\n

Deciding to follow our dreams is the most difficult decision we, as humans, make. The path to our dreams is a difficult one, but choosing to take it may be the bravest thing you can do. It\u2019s the road less traveled and one way to get through that road is by believing in yourself. Why is it so hard to decide that we\u2019re amazing? How do we change our mindset from \u2018can\u2019t\u2019 to \u2018can\u2019? It\u2019s not going to be easy, but it\u2019s time to build that confidence in you that will help you make it through to your dreams. It\u2019s time to believe in yourself and here are some things you can do to get started.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Focus On Your Triumphs- Did you go after that degree? Did you ace that test? Even just a compliment will help you to remember that you\u2019re amazing and have already achieved amazing things. Take out a piece of paper and write down all the impossible things you\u2019ve already done in your life. All you have to do is give yourself some credit.<\/p>\n

Focus On What Your Doing Now- Do you remember Gina Rodruiguez\u2019s acceptance speech when she won her Golden Globe for Jane the Virgin? She mentioned that her father taught her to say the mantra \u201cI can and I will,\u201d every morning when she woke up. I want you to add, \u201cI am,\u201d because you probably are already working towards your dream without even noticing. Maybe your starting to write that book, or thinking up creative ideas you want to try out. Those are two examples of doing. Focusing on what you\u2019re doing now can help you to forget about what you\u2019re not doing. It keeps your brain where it needs to be, which is on you.<\/p>\n

Make a Mantra Of Your Own- Gina\u2019s dad was onto something by teaching Gina that mantra. Saying a mantra or an affirmation in the morning or whenever you\u2019re loosing hope in yourself can get you through anything while on that road to your dreams. So here\u2019s some you can try: \u201cI believe in myself,\u201d and \u201cI believe I can accomplish my dream.\u201d Make your mantra in the present tense and in an affirmative language.<\/p>\n
