They tell you a lot about yourself and your situation. Your feelings help you to navigate the world and they\u2019re also the most natural thing about the human spirit. No one is immune to their feelings, so that\u2019s why we need to value them and accept them. That way, they\u2019ll help us figure out what we should do next. Find out how to accept and value all your feelings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lorensworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/shutterstock_157009427.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46566\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lorensworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/shutterstock_157009427.jpg\" alt=\"shutterstock_157009427\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Negative Feelings Are Valuable-\u00a0Listen, I get it. Keeping a happy face and showing the world that you\u2019re an optimistic person is great and so important to keeping you happy. Yet, when you\u2019re feeling something negative, you shouldn\u2019t hide and throw those feelings away. You should value and accept those negative feelings because they are there to help you grow. It\u2019s hard to see where these feelings come from a lot of the time, but they are a part of your present. Process those feelings and let them come. Do not suppress them.<\/p>\n<p>Get Rid Of Some Common Thoughts-\u00a0It\u2019s time to stop thinking in \u2018shoulds.\u2019 For example, \u201cI should be feelings good because I have a good job and I nice boyfriend,\u201d or \u201cI should be happy because there are worse things that could be happening in my life.\u201d Sure, all these things might be true on a surface level but that doesn\u2019t devalue what your feeling. Tell yourself it\u2019s okay to feel what you\u2019re feeling and that there are no \u2018shoulds.\u2019 If you\u2019re feeling blue or sad, tell yourself it\u2019s okay. It\u2019s normal to be sad or angry. It\u2019s safe.<\/p>\n<p>This Will Cause Some Change-\u00a0Valuing all your feelings, including the negative feelings will cause some change in your life. That change might be scary for you and you might be afraid. Remind yourself that it\u2019s okay to feel afraid. It\u2019s okay to have dark thoughts. You\u2019re not abnormal, you\u2019re only human.
