More often than not, we let negative thoughts control our lives. We remind ourselves of what we don\u2019t have, instead of being grateful for what we do have. These thoughts seep into our daily lives and make our world one that\u2019s seen through a blue, sad lens, rather than a happy one. It\u2019s time to change all that. It\u2019s time to make happiness a habit in\u00a0<em>your<\/em>\u00a0life. It\u2019s about changing your routine. Add these special rituals into your daily routine and watch your mood change. It\u2019s all about perspective, people!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-53951\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lorensworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/shutterstock_172673210.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lorensworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/shutterstock_172673210.jpg 650x, http:\/\/www.lorensworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/shutterstock_172673210-300x200.jpg 300x\" alt=\"happiness, happiness habit, make happiness a habit with these rituals, rituals, happy woman\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Simplify the Negative-\u00a0Maybe, you don\u2019t like your job. Listen, we\u2019ve all been there, but when it\u2019s the only thing that\u2019s on your mind, your life becomes consumed by it. Stop making things so dramatic. Everything is temporary when you really think about it. I know it\u2019s easier said than done, but instead of obsessing over that job you hate, start obsessing over a new hobby you\u2019ve taken up. Make all those negative things in your life smaller in your mind, that way, they become a smaller part of your life.<\/p>\n<p>Rituals to help you simplify the negative:<\/p>\n<p>Meditation: Meditation helps to keep your thoughts in check. Add meditation into your daily routine!<\/p>\n<p>Prayer: When you find yourself overreacting to something, send out a little prayer. Say it out loud. Take a few deep breaths. You\u2019re feeling happier already, aren\u2019t you?<\/p>\n<p>Do Less: You might be stretching yourself too thin. We don\u2019t want you to feel burnt out, so try to delete a few things off your daily to-do list. Instead spend time doing something that makes you happy.<\/p>\n<p>Stay Active-\u00a0Jason Comely, who once had a really intense fear of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lifehacker.com\/get-over-your-fears-by-remembering-this-formula-1680897860\" target=\"_blank\">rejection<\/a>, came up with a formula for fear: fear= thinking+time. Makes sense, right? When we sit around wondering and thinking for too long, we start to worry. Worry breeds fear, which breeds unhappiness. Ward away fear by keeping active. Exercise and have plans for your day. Work on your goals or journal when you have time off. Sure, I\u2019m a believer in relaxation, but too much of anything is bad. Keep some balance.<\/p>\n<p>Rituals to help you stay active:<\/p>\n<p>Take up a class: I know there\u2019s a cooking class you\u2019ve been wanting to take. Sign up for it!<\/p>\n<p>Cultivate your relationships: Keep up with old friends on a daily basis. Make plans after work to see them.
