But, I need a team of people to help run all the social media campaigns and content we promote for my business \u2013 it\u2019s a lot of work! And, when it comes to social media, some of the best employees suited for the jobs are millennials.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9100\" src=\"https:\/\/aspire-canada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/shutterstock_406553260.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"709\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Growing up using social, means Millennials know the platforms, love to learn and aren\u2019t afraid to uncover new ways of using the tools \u2013 it\u2019s great to have them on board. If you\u2019re a millennial, thinking it might be time to start a career in social media \u2013 you\u2019re going down the right track. There\u2019s lots of jobs out there \u2013 great ones \u2013 that will let you flex your social media muscle and learn a thing or two along the way.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few excerpts from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/jimmyrohampton\/2016\/11\/19\/6-social-media-jobs-that-are-great-for-millennials\/#36304f6b52f0\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes Under 30 #LifeHacks article<\/a> I recently stumbled on: <strong>6 Social Media Jobs That are Great for Millenials.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Are you the type of person that likes to be in charge? If so, you might be perfect for a social media manager position. Social media managers are responsible for all aspects of social media campaigns. You\u2019ll take care of the strategy, implementation, and marketing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Forbes is right, <strong>this is a great role for anyone who isn\u2019t really at that entry level stage anymore<\/strong> and are ready to move into a managerial role. Maybe you\u2019ve had a bit of experience managing people here and there and you have a few years of running social channels and contributing to social strategy planning under your hat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>If you excel at strategizing but don\u2019t want all of the responsibilities that come with being a social media manager, you can become a social media specialist. Social media specialists are responsible for developing strategies to meet companies\u2019 and clients\u2019 social media needs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is another one that\u2019s just <strong>perfect for someone who has been in the working world for a bit already<\/strong> \u2013 you get it when it comes to navigating the waters of being part of a business and a brand. But, you still have a lot to learn and are eager to jump in in there when it comes to strategy and working with cross-functional teams.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9099\" src=\"https:\/\/aspire-canada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/shutterstock_119563954.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Media Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>As a coordinator, you\u2019ll be responsible for making sure that all of the posts go live every day. You can\u2019t just post on a whim, though. You\u2019ll follow a posting calendar for all of the social media accounts. Message relevancy is very important for social media coordinators. You\u2019ll speak to people in all of your company\u2019s departments to make sure you\u2019re staying on message with each post.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Forbes hit this one right on the nose, <strong>it\u2019s the perfect role for someone who is just getting started<\/strong> in corporate social media. You\u2019ll work with a specialist and a manager to understand exactly what to do and when \u2013 but they\u2019ll be open to your insight also.
